The AT90 microcontroller was launched in 1996 by Atmel Corporation. It was developed by Alf-Egil Bogen and Vegard Wolla, two students at the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH), who patented the computing core under the AVR name. It is said that the AV stands for both Alf Vegard and Advanced Virtual, while the R stands for RISC – the pair's intention was to develop an 8-bit reduced instruction set computing (RISC) microcontroller with flash memory on Harvard architecture. The command system covers logical operations, data transfer, bit operations, and control transfers.
Proprietary network protocols, traffic routers, user interface, internal routing of packages between blocks from one station, monitoring of reliability of digital user streams and mechanisms for reserving streams. The central block of an SDH radio relay station for monitoring and managing a microcontroller via a web interface has been reworked.
2002–2024
